Montessori Together
Playgroup Classes for Adult/Child
“The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the period from birth to the age of six… for that is the time when intelligence itself, the greatest implement, is being formed.”
Our Montessori Together classes offer a special opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with their children in a carefully prepared environment designed just for them. With carefully chosen furniture and materials, along with the freedom to explore, your child will be supported in developing independence, coordination, language, and confidence—all at their own pace.
Each class is a shared experience. As your child explores, you’ll observe, gently guide, and grow right alongside them. These moments of connection allow you to deepen your understanding of your child’s development while learning how to support their growth.
Classes are led by Kristin Anderson, an experienced, Montessori-trained educator who is there to support both the child and the adult. She introduces activities to infants, children, and parents, helping the child develop social skills, communication, and a sense of belonging to a group.
Throughout each session, we’ll also offer time for parent education and discussion—sometimes woven into class, and other times in dedicated gatherings outside of the classroom—because we believe in supporting you just as much as we support your child.
StoryTime at the Studio
Our StoryTime sessions offer a playful, relaxed way for young children to build early language and listening skills.
Each class combines stories, songs, and hands-on activities designed to nurture vocabulary development, comprehension, and group participation — all at a pace that respects the child’s natural readiness.
Storytime is about more than reading aloud; it’s about creating joyful early experiences with language, building the foundations for future literacy, and helping children feel confident as part of a group.
Sessions are led by Montessori Moments educators, who gently encourages children’s natural curiosity while supporting early social connections.
Registration for individual sessions and semesters.
Fun Fridays/Friday Community
Fun Friday for ages 3–6 is a special time for hands-on exploration, creativity, and community-building, centered around a series of rotating weekly themes.
Each month, children experience a cycle of purposeful, meaningful activities that support practical life skills, movement, and artistic expression:
1st Friday: Food Preparation and Cooking — Children practice real-world skills like measuring, mixing, chopping, and creating simple recipes, building independence and a love of healthy food.
2nd Friday: Purposeful Movement and Mindfulness — Sessions focus on purposeful movement, balance, body awareness, breathing exercises, and mindful activities to help children connect with their bodies and emotions.
3rd Friday: Art Study — Children explore artists, techniques, and creative materials, encouraging self-expression and a deeper appreciation for beauty and process over product.
Friday Community Days for 1st- 8th graders offers new opportunities for exploration — whether through nature walks, art projects, STEM challenges, or team-building games — all in a relaxed, supportive environment. Children are free to move, create, socialize, and lead, with activities tailored to their age group. Friday Community is about building confidence, connecting with peers, and finding joy in learning beyond the classroom walls.
Fridays are relaxed yet structured designed to nurture the whole child — supporting independence, creativity, and a strong sense of community — all within a Montessori-aligned environment.
Registration for individual sessions and semesters.
Book Club
Our Book Clubs offer a relaxed, welcoming space for readers to connect with stories — and each other.
Children’s Book Club sessions include group reading, at-home reading assignments, journaling and reflection prompts, and simple activities designed to deepen comprehension, expand vocabulary, and encourage a true connection to the text.
The focus is not on reading levels, but on growth, discussion, and building a lifelong love of books. Each child is encouraged to engage at their own pace, celebrating progress rather than perfection.
Adult Book Club sessions offer a chance for parents to explore Montessori philosophy, parenting topics, or personal growth readings in a thoughtful, supportive community.
Through guided discussions, reflection, and shared exploration, our Book Clubs nurture critical thinking, empathy, and a lifelong passion for learning through literature.
Registration for monthly sessions - offered several times throughout the year.
